22nd March 2024

This Spring term has been a short term and school has been super busy to fit everything in. The children have worked hard and enjoyed the special events and days that have taken place over the last term.

I hope everyone who attended the parent evening this week found it useful and heard lots of positives about their children that they can be proud of. The teachers also would have mentioned some things the children still need to work on and things you could help at home with. It is important that school and home, work in partnership to support the academic, social, spiritual and moral development of the children. The children will all have holiday homework as well as a reading book to keep them engaged and busy over the break and it would be great if you could support and encourage them with this.

Especially year 6 and year 2, who should be spending some of this holiday revising for their SATs which are only a few week away. Hopefully we will see some of the year 6 children next Monday and Tuesday for that little extra push in their revision.

Unfortunately, we end the term with the news that Mrs Fox will not be returning to school. She has decided to pursue another profession and I am sure like everyone at St. Clement’s, you will wish her well on whatever her new chosen path will be.

The value of this half term has been courage, and we remember this value particularly over Easter when we remember the sacrifice of Jesus so that our sins may be forgiven.

Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Easter, see you in two weeks.
